The Woods Searches For a New Home

We have just learned that we will no longer be able to hold The Woods Music and Dance Camp at Rosseau Lake College, which has been our home for twenty years. We are very sad to lose a site that worked so well for us, and we will miss the on-site staff with whom we have had a very good relationship over the years.

We want to reassure you that this is a temporary setback but The Woods Music and Dance Camp is not going to disappear. We are already assembling a committee to search for a new site, and we are confident that we will find a new space that will work for us.

Because of when we received final word of our status at RLC, it is unlikely that we will be able to secure a site for summer 2013. However, we will be planning some kind of Woods event in lieu of the 2013 six-day camp we all know and love, and we will keep you updated as plans progress. We fully expect to be back to a normal Woods Music and Dance Camp in 2014.

We know that this will be a disappointment to many of you, and we assure you we share your disappointment. We promise to keep you informed as plans for the new site progress, and as we confirm details of next summer’s interim event. Thanks for your understanding as we move through this challenge.

The Woods is down but not out!
